CCM continuous mode high-power PFC chip
The NE1180 is a controller for continuous on-mode (CCM) power factor correction (PFC) step-up preconverters. In fixed frequency mode, it controls the power switch on-time (PWM) and depends on the instantaneous coil current. The circuit is packaged in SO-8, minimizing the number of external components and greatly simplifying PFC implementation. It also incorporates high safety features for effective input power runaway clamp circuits
